Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre

Description

Based on the 1994 Disney film of the same name, the musical of The Lion King at the Lyceum has been thrilling theatregoers of all ages in London for over 16 years.

Featuring the unforgettable songs as Circle of Life and Can You Feel the Love Tonight, The Lion King is the story of Simba, heir to his father, Mufasa, the King of the Pridelands. But Simba's uncle Scar murders Mufasa and manipulates Simba into thinking he was responsible. After fleeing into exile, Simba is given some valuable perspective from his childhood friend, Nala, and his shaman, Rafiki, before returning to challenge Scar take his place in the Circle of Life as the rightful King.

Featuring music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice, in September 2014, The Lion King became the top-earning title in box-office history for both stage productions and films.

PLEASE NOTE: strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted. Children over 3 will be admitted, but they must be able to sit in their own seat quietly throughout the performance. If they become restless, they may be asked to leave the auditorium.
