About An American in Paris

The perfect blend of dance and romance, An American in Paris at the Dominion Theatre features many of George and Ira Gershwin’s greatest songs including I Got Rhythm, Liza, 'S Wonderful, But Not for Me and Stairway to Paradise.

Set just after the end of World War II, An American in Paris is the story of an American soldier, Jerry Mulligan who decides to remain and nurture his passion for painting and when Jerry is meets a mysterious girl, he is certain that he made the right decision…or so it seems!

Inspired by the 1951 Academy Award winning film, An American in Paris opened on Broadway in April 2015, following an engagement at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

With a company of over 50 actors, dancers and musicians, and directed and choreographed by Olivier and Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, An American on Paris won four Tony Awards on Broadway.
