Following rave reviews and a sell-out season at Chichester this new production of Half a Sixpence transfers to London’s Noel Coward Theatre.
Based on Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul, a 1905 novel by H.G. Wells, Half a Sixpence is the story of Arthur Kipps, a draper's assistant who falls in love with a chambermaid named Ann but has an abrupt change of life when his wealthy grandfather dies and leaves him a fortune.
Featuring all the songs from this original show including Flash Bang Wallop, Money to Burn and Half a Sixpence, this new stage version reunites book-writer Julian Fellowes (Creator of Downton Abbey) with George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, the musical team that created the hit stage adaptation of Mary Poppins.
Please note: Charlie Stemp will not be appearing as Arthur Kipps on 26 June – 1 July & 14 – 19 August 2017.
