Rufus Hound stars as Mr Toad in a new musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s classic book The Wind in the Willows, at the London Palladium for a strictly limited season.
The glorious adventures of Mr Toad, Mole, Ratty and Badger in The Wind in the Willows have enchanted children and their parents for over a century. Always seeking a new adventure, Mr Toad finds himself imprisoned for his reckless driving. Toads ancestral home, Toad Hall is been taken over by weasels and stoats from the Wild Wood and he needs to escape to do battle with his unwelcome squatters and take back the family seat!
This new version of The Wind in the Willows has been adapted for the stage Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes and Olivier-winning lyrical team George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who all previously worked together on both the new stage adaptations of Mary Poppins and Half a Sixpence.
