Stumbling through its second shambolic year, The Play that Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre is the story of an accident-prone thespians who battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!
In The Play that Goes Wrong, The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society are putting on a 1920s murder mystery, but everything it seems that can go wrong, does go wrong for the play, its players and its somewhat fragile set… and of course the more that it goes wrong the funnier it gets!
Originally premiering at the Old Red Lion Pub Theatre in London in 2012, The Play that Goes Wrong moved to Trafalgar Studios in 2013, and opened to the Duchess Theatre in the West End in September 2014, where it won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Olivier Awards.
